Preschool Classrooms

Welcome to the Red Room!

Our class is designed for 2-3 year olds. In our class, we work on age appropriate developmental skills, while encouraging them to be who God has uniquely created them to be. We work on fine and gross motor skills through play, projects, and group-time music and movement. We have a strong focus on social-emotional development while helping children transition into the classroom environment. We begin to practice name recognition, introduce the alphabet, numbers and counting, coloring, shapes, and colors. In this class, we want to guide children to see and feel the love of Christ, through Bible stories and how we interact with them.

Welcome to the Orange Room!

Each week we focus on developmentally appropriate ways to incorporate letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. We use manipulatives and crafts to exercise our fine motor skills and express creativity. We encourage pretend play and teamwork, along with expressing our emotions with words to our fellow classmates. We want to see the children in interactive and imaginative play, as well as creating and building together. Also, we will also be working on the alphabet, beginning to recognize and write our names, counting, cutting, coloring, and recognizing shapes and colors. We want to do our best to meet your child where they are developmentally and walk alongside you as parents/caregivers to help your child grow in the love of Christ, into who they were uniquely and intentionally created to be.

Welcome to the Yellow Room!

I am so excited to be teaching our class of 3 year olds! Every month we explore different shapes, numbers, letters, colors and Bible verses. Circle time takes place every morning and is incredibly valuable as the groundwork to introducing all of these aspects into our day. I am passionate about the importance of littles to be met exactly where they are - so providing different forms of learning is important! We work on various art projects, centers, pretend play and free play to develop social and emotional skills. Most importantly, I strive to create a loving and safe environment for your littles to grow and thrive in the love that Jesus has for them.

Welcome to the Green Room!

I am excited to be teaching the 3-4 year old classroom this year! Our room is designed to encourage children's interest in learning about the world around them through play and exploration of materials in a loving, safe environment. Through play, art, music and stories, children will enhance their social, emotional, language, cognitive and large and small motor skills.  They will develop a sense of independence, learn to care for others and their environment and to cooperate with others, while also developing their writing and pre-math skills! We are going to have a great time!

Welcome to the Blue Room!

I have been teaching this Pre-K class for the last 4 years and I love teaching this age of children because every year it’s a different adventure! We do lots of fun and engaging activities each day, both inside and outside of our classroom, including practicing the alphabet, puzzles, music, games, art, counting, manipulative play to increase numeric and phonic awareness, science experiments and dramatic play. We practice, by playing games and through imaginative play, how to work together, share and collaborate with one another. In room 4, we love to hear lots of stories, particularly from God’s Word.  We learn how God’s world works and how much he loves us by experiencing the journeys of the heroes in the Bible.  We also learn to hide God’s Word in our hearts through Bible verse memorization.

Welcome to the Purple Room!

This is my 10th year teaching Pre-K teacher for our preschool. Our class is typically made up of four and five-year-olds; most of whom will be eligible for kindergarten the following year. We explore God‘s world and the love He has for all of us. A lot of focus is on developing the skills and independence needed for kindergarten. We utilize a wide variety of outlets for discovery including art projects, manipulatives, center activities, small and large group tasks, imaginative and guided play and teacher lead discussion. Each activity reinforces the letter, number, shape, color, Bible story and theme of the month. The main goal for our class is that each child will be confident in their own skills and have a deeper understanding for how much God loves them.
I want the students in my class to love learning as they head into Kindergarten.

School Age Care

Welcome to the Big Kids Program!

Our Big Kids program here at the Wave is designed to help parents with children attending elementary and middle school by providing excellent after school care. Children have the opportunity to complete all assigned homework for the day so that parents can enjoy their time with their kiddos without having to worry about homework!

In addition to homework help, we provide a daily afternoon snack, plenty of screen-free play opportunities and various fun projects for our elementary aged students. Our weekly activities include large group games, movie days, art projects, devotionals and chapel. We are also open all day on many days that schools are closed to students - this care is included in the monthly tuition!

The Wave is grounded on biblical principles that provide confidence to parents to know their children are experiencing the love of Christ through our staff who are passionate about creating relationships with children and families.

We are excited to have all the fun with your kiddos!
